How Bad Do You Want Your Coffee239? Go Instant and Ice It Up!

Nestled with my laptop on a cool and crisp Saturday morning, not going to drive 8 miles round trip to the closest Starbucks. So, it's home iced coffee for this blogger!

Ingredients:
1 cup of ice
1 splash of milk
1 pinch of sugar
1 cup of instant Folgers coffee  (just a minute to heat hot water in the microwave and mix in the packet)

Mix coffee, drink coffee, repeat!

Who do you associate with coffee in childhood memories? When I was growing up in the 239, I associated coffee with my dad, Mike, and my Grandpa, Ed, who was a deceased US Air Force 20-year veteran. There was also my Grandma on the other side. Here's to our Vets! We love you!

It's trendy to stop in at Starbucks or another coffee house and get your fave drink. After reviewing this article, I might skip the add-ins. Every bit of sugar we put into our bodies (i.e. the amount in half a candy bar) could be feeding cancer cells.

When Coffee is Lacking

After work, I made it to Broward and back in less than 5 hours. I really needed some coffee but I wanted to get home and make a late dinner more than I wanted to stop somewhere. So, when you aren't feeling veggies or fruits, just have chicken breast with Italian herbs and olive oil (breaded and baked at 350 degrees) and piping hot garlic bread. This makes up for the fact that I passed my favorite coffee shop. I will try to get down to Mercato on Saturday or Sunday and blog about some of its awesome coffees. Wait for it!

Save With Dunkin Donuts Coffee at Speedway!

There's Happy Hour if you'll sit and wait at Dunkin Donuts' drive-through, or there's an easier way. Stop into Speedway for a 5:00 pm caffeine fix. This was my Medium French Vanilla iced coffee with half-and-half for a buck ($1.00). Earn points for this pick-me-up on the Speedway app, fill up the tank, and buy beverages and eats for the night! I prefer this option to the lines at Wal-Mart and Publix.
